T2 Trainspotting

The new Trainspotting film also known as T2 reaches cinemas in the United Kingdom on the 27th of January 2017 and is released worldwide in cinemas during February and March.

Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor), returns to Edinburgh from Amsterdam 20 years after the original film with his life seemingly looking much better. You may remember Renton betrayed his so-called friends and ran away with the money, leaving Begbie (Robert Carlyle) and Simon “Sick Boy” Williamson rather unhappy about the whole thing.

If you enjoyed the first movie, let’s just say you will more than likely enjoy T2 also. T2 returns 20 years later, showing how each character has turned out.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Yes, it’s true there is a new Star War coming this year, due to be released on the 15th of December 2017 in the United States with the remaining worldwide release dates to be declared soon.

Can you believe it’s been 40 years since the first Star Wars was released back in 1977, starring Mark “Luke Skywalker” Hamill, Harrison “Han Solo” Ford and Carrie “Princess Leia” Fisher?

A teaser trailer for the film is expected to be released on the 14th of April 2017 during the Last Jedi panel at the Star Wars 40th celebration in Orlando. It will reportedly be streamed live at 5.01pm UK time.

Beauty and the Beast

Disney’s new take on the Beauty and the Beast film was released in the UK on February 27th 2017 and has reportedly made around $910 million. The Disney animated classic takes on a live-action twist and stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston.

As expected the movie contains several beautifully crafted songs and a great eye for detail. Also, don’t worry the movie stays true to the original story where Belle is imprisoned by the misunderstood Beast, but later discovers that he has a kind heart.

The new Disney phenomenon is directed by Bill Condon and really is a treat for the eyes, go watch it now.

 

The Fate of the Furious

Yes, it’s almost here guys!!!

The unbelievable 8th film in the franchise is due to be released on April 12th in the UK and everywhere else soon after.

The film stars Vin Diesel, Jason Stratham and Dwayne Johnson in what looks like another hard hitting, adrenalin pumping, action packed smash.

Dom and Letty are away on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the crazy life’s they once lead, and the rest of the team seem to be leading somewhat of a normal life.

This is until a mysterious woman turns up one day and seduces Dom, eventually leading him into a life of crime. This means the remaining members of the team must bring him back to the family he created however they can.

 

 

Kong: Skull Island

Kong: Skull Island is the incredible 8th film in the King Kong Franchise would you believe. Although it’s the 8th film in the franchise it’s been almost 12 years since the previous film was released.

The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L Jackson and John Goodman as they adventure onto an uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean that is home to the mighty Kong. During their time on the island they soon realise that their mission of discovery is now turning into one of survival where humans do not belong.

The film was initially released in the United Kingdom on the 28th of February and in the US on the 10th of march. With an initial budget of $185 million the film has gone on to gross over $535 million worldwide and be a great success.
